NASA OSBP Learning Series Presents: An Inside Look at NASA MUREP
October 28, 2020 at 1:30 pm (ET) (webinar)

Guest Speaker: Rod Chappell, Lead – Partnerships and Sustainability (MUREP)

Did you know that historically Black colleges and universities (HBCU) and minority-serving institutions (MSI) have unique opportunities to work with NASA?

Through the Minority University Research and Education Project (MUREP), NASA provides financial assistance via competitive awards to assist faculty and students in research and provide authentic STEM engagement related to NASA missions.

Join us for a FREE webinar featuring Rod Chappell, Team Lead over the MUREP Partnerships and Sustainability initiative, to learn more about how your institution and students can engage with NASA. There will also be a formal question and answer session so attendees can ask specific questions that relate to their institution’s capabilities.

If your company, university, or organization is interested in working with NASA and other HBCUs or MSIs around the nation, this is the webinar for you!

Log-in information for this online class will be sent after individual register, and reminders will be sent the day before and day of the webinar.

If you have questions about this topic, email them in advance to smallbusiness@nasa.gov and type “OSBP Learning Series Question – MUREP” in the subject line.

Contractors Steering Council Meeting – October 20

Please join us for the next NASA LANGLEY CONTRACTOR STEERING COUNCIL MEETING, which will be October 20th, at 2:00 PM, in the New Headquarters Administration New Town Building #2101, Conference Room #305.

Rich Antcliff, Head, Strategic Relationships Office will give an overview of the KEYS Survey to Creativity and Innovation. Click here to view Rich Antcliff’s presentation. Click here to view the full survey report.

Sue Lemon, Office of Chief Information Officer, will give us an overview of the new Agency Consolidated End-user Services (ACES) contract. The new Agency Consolidated End-user Services (ACES) contract is one of five procurements under NASA’s IT Infrastructure Integration Program (I3P), which will transform NASA’s IT Infrastructure services from a Center-based model to an enterprise-based management and provisioning model.  ACES will provide a consolidated solution for delivering end-user services across the Agency to achieve increased efficiencies and reduced costs through standardization. Services include: provisioning and support of desktops, laptops, cell phones, personal digital assistants, printers, and office automation software. The NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) is the host Center for ACES. The ACES service provider is Hewlett-Packard Enterprise Services (HPES). ACES replaces the Outsourcing Desktop Initiative for NASA (ODIN) contract.  The ODIN to ACES transition affects every employee who currently has ODIN equipment.  The ACES transition began at LaRC in early September 2011 and is scheduled to be completed by February 28, 2012.
